Leading Democratic digital firm Rising Tide Interactive today announced the appointment of partner Stephanie Grasmick as the company’s chief executive officer. Grasmick will continue to work directly with clients as a strategic advisor while assuming day-to-day leadership of the company’s operations. Founding Partner Eli Kaplan and Partner Annie Levene will continue to serve alongside Grasmick as company leaders and board members.
Kaplan noted, “When Rising Tide Interactive launched nine years ago, we had a sublet for a couple hundred feet of office space and a vision of how digital media could transform Democrats’ ability to raise money, persuade voters and mobilize key constituencies. Now in our fifth election cycle, we’re thrilled to see that our vision has become a reality.”
Levene added, “With over six dozen staff across our media, strategy, ad ops, graphics, video, content and operations departments, empowering Stephanie Grasmick as our new CEO will help us achieve our goals, streamline processes and spend more time advising our clients on strategies that will defeat Donald Trump and elect Democratic candidates up and down the ballot this November. We look forward to working closely with Stephanie – alongside the rest of the leadership team – in her role as CEO.”
“As Democrats head into the 2020 election, the stakes couldn’t be higher,” Grasmick said. “Smart digital investment will be critical for Democratic victories up and down the ballot, and I couldn’t be more excited to serve as CEO of the best digital team in Democratic politics. I look forward to working closely with Eli and Annie to keep RTI’s momentum moving forward in 2020 and beyond. This new role will allow me to focus on increasing innovation, building long-term infrastructure and electing candidates and advocating for causes that will improve the lives of countless Americans.”
